Tom Winfield Photography | About
Thomas “Tom” Winfield is a life long photography enthusiast. He won blue ribbons for photography in 4-H. Serving in the Army as a Chaplain Assistant, he always packed a camera.

Tom earned a degree in electrical engineering from Case Institute of Technology. He was employed by Electro-Motive Division of General Motors as a Service Engineer until his retirement in 2002. His photography skills were invaluable in documenting equipment failures.

In the early 70s, Tom served the Veterans of Foreign Wars as Department of New Hampshire photographer. At meetings and conventions, his motel room was turned into a darkroom and photography lab.

Many of his photos are featured in “They Fought Together - A Photographic Tribute to Redcatchers of the 199th LIB ”. Currently he is the official reunion photographer for Echo Company, 2nd/3rd Infantry, 199th Light Infantry Brigade.

After a stroke and open heart surgery, he took up cycling as recreation. He became an avid cyclist. Tom has always had a photographer's “eye”, his skill was sharpened with the slower pace on a bicycle. There is always a camera in the pocket of his cycling jersey.

Tom's passion is for riding on dirt trails in the woods. With his cameras, he has become a familiar face on local mountain bike races. His photos are featured in the annual Psycowpath Bike Bash program.

He publishes “Bicycle Trails”, a calendar featuring trails he has ridden. His specialties are landscape, nature, events & functions, and mountain bike races.
